PX & PTA trends firm, ethylene stays stable

Paraxylene prices marched ahead. PX remained firm in S E Asian markets, offer price surged to $1160-1165 / ton, but many deals concluded in the range of $1155-1160 / ton. In Korean market, offer price surged up to $1150 /ton, whereas trading concluded in the range of $1145-1150 / ton.
PTA market too remained firm. In S E Asian market, price of PTA was in the range of $1135-1140 / ton. Offers for cargoes imported from Korea were assessed around $1030-1040 / ton. In S E Asian market, offer price of PTA, crossed the level of $1040 / ton.
Ethylene price was stable at $1077 / ton and in S E Asian market; it was recorded around $1080 / ton. In Japanese market, ethylene was quoted at around $1120-1130 / ton.
MEG selling offer stood at around $965-970 / ton in S E Asian market. Buying momentum was still firm above price level of $960 / ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG price crossed the benchmark level of RMB 8000 / ton and was quoted in the range of RMB 8200-8300 / ton.
