As a new state-of-the-art project goes operational, the whole gamut of Turkmenistan's budding textile industry is likely to experience a bounce back.

The inaugural function of the Ruhabat factory, a synthetic and blended yarn producing unit is believed to turn out to commemorate the occasion of Turkmenistan's 19th independence anniversary.

The Textile Industry Development Programme is aimed at establishment of new facilities with a capacity to process around 254,000 tons of cotton fibre each year, while raising yarn output to 224 tons per year and that of various other types of fabrics to around 305 million square metres.

The new production complex has been set up by Engin Group, a well-renowned company of Turkmenistan. This is the first ever production unit of the country which will manufacture synthetic and blended yarn from cotton and polyester and will churn out 13,014 tons of yarn each year.

Italian companies Marzoli and Savio have supplied computerized machines which would help to adjust yarn production and also to meet buyer's specifications. Yarn would be manufactured using imported polyester fibre and from cotton produced in the country.

Further, Textechno laboratory's equipment would allow to effectively regulate the yarn's quality and also to exercise a check on the production process.
