Bill Collins, a textile businessman, has purchased a Bury-based dyeing and finishing plant and has saved 20 jobs thereby adding £1.6 million to his business turnover.
Blacksheep Textiles is based on Bolton Road, Hawkshaw and has entered into the company's administration in the month of September.
The company gets over 80 percent of its revenues from Thornber Home & Leisure business based in Clitheroe.
The company has been formed by Collins with the help of two minority investors, by purchasing the family owned fabric business with a £5 million turnover from James Thornber.
The business specializes in the weaving of fabrics particularly for upholstery, blinds, curtains and other furnishings.
The owner intends to invest £1million on equipment for the upgradation of Blacksheep Textiles' operations during the next 18 months.
