French firm Porcher inks JV with Prepreg-ACM

Porcher Industries – the French company signed the first round of shareholder's agreement with the Russian company Prepreg – Advanced Composite Materials on setting up a unit for manufacturing textile materials out of carbon fibre. Both the parties announced their plan to manufacture the textile materials from carbon fibre. Porcher Industries has 51% share whereas 49% share is held by Prepreg-ACM in the joint venture company.

Porcher Composites, the new company, is expected to be established as per the Russian law and is likely to be responsible for the growth, manufacturing, promotion and sales of carbon fibre textile materials. Aerospace, aeronautics and other industries are likely to use the carbon fibre textile materials for parts manufacturing, which is based on composite materials.
