SibFashion & SibTextile – successful event

The XXI International Exhibition of textile and light industry SibFashion and SibTextile–2010 (autumn) and the V Regional contest of home textile interior designers “Home Textile-2010” have finished their work.

SibFashion, SibTextile is one of the largest exhibitions included into the National Program of building textile and light industry market – “Russian Fashion and textile weeks” – supported by “Rostextile Concern” and ZAO “Textilexpo”.

At the exhibition the goods, equipment and technologies from 12 foreign countries and 18 cities of Russian Federation were presented. The participation efficiency of 184 companies was reached owing to three main directions: presentation of technical equipment novelties; demonstration and selling of new fabrics, clothes, leather, headdresses, knitwear, sewing accessories collections; and the V Regional home textile interior design contest “Home textile-2010” with rich business forum program.

Visitors have had a chance to get to know new European brands showcased in SibFashion, SibTextile-2010. In particular, at the “Euro Fashion” stand (exclusive representative of European ladies' and gentlemen's apparel producers – Kenny S, H.I.S., Kello and other, Germany) you could get familiarized with the color trends of upcoming winter-spring season and fashion tendencies including vintage style in ladies clothes. In January 2011 “Euro Fashion” is opening a showroom and a small retail store in Novosibirsk.

Unprecedentedly successful the work of the polish knitwear fabric “Margot” passed on. “Our products are made of wool and cotton for both adults and children of different ages. We are planning to start up in Siberia, – declares Marzena Bórka, manager of business development in “Margot”, - we would like to sell wider range of our products here, in Siberia, which includes the models for newborns. As it is healthsome for children to wear cotton headdresses regularly but here it is not so popular.” Mrs. Bórska is going to come back to Novosibirsk in order to establish long-term and sound contacts with wholesalers in Novosibirsk.

Participants, operating on the equipment market, marked the stable growth on the demand on embroidery machines and special knitting sewing machines. They forecast the fast development of knitting wear market in Siberia. “At the recession period many sewing fabrics have switched their business on the knitwear. Producers became to offer a plenty of new and interesting fabrics and materials. The future lays in the ladies' knitwear” – considers Dmitry Peresylkin, commercial director of TMT-Siberia company.

The high efficiency of the participation was highlighted by other exhibitors from diverse branches of textile and sewing industries. High quality contacts and good sales turnover were underlined by representatives of such Moscow companies as “Dialanta”, “Krisna”, “Arespa”, “Intex”, “Lala style” and such Novosibirsk companies as “Dekart”, “Effort-sib”, “Mekhovoi polus”, “Evet textile”, “Severianka” fabric and by entrepreneurs from Barnaul and other cities.
