Hainsworth – the notable textile company, which has been manufacturing snooker cloths since 1968, spent a year's time in designing a functional dark green baize fabric for Power Snooker, the latest variety of the game which has been termed as the snooker's comparable to Twenty Twenty cricket.
Hainsworth, which is based in Pudsey, is one of the oldest textile companies of the world that was started way back in 1783. The company is expected to be the only provider of snooker cloth for all the upcoming Power Snooker events throughout the world.
According to an expert, Hainsworth leads the market in innovating specialist table covering and it provides the highest quality surface cloth which is well recognized in sports.
In Power Snooker, speed is the most important factor. Therefore, such surface cloths are required which would enable players to attain maximum speed of the ball so that the game reaches to its highest potential.
The company also produces a series of baize cloths for casino and card tables. The printing on these surface cloths are dealt in-house. These functional cloths are also used as cabinet linings in Windsor Castle as well as the House of Commons.
