India's first technical non-woven unit has been commissioned recently in Indore by Industrial Filters & Fabrics (IFF), which is one of the top producers of filter products. Several senior representatives from different industries took part in the opening ceremony of the manufacturing unit. The installed manufacturing capacity of the factory is 100,000 linear meters of fabric every month.

Technical non-woven felts have been used as filter intermediary – a fabric utilized to filter dust particulates from dusty gases. These are one of the most productive as well as low-priced varieties of dust collectors available and can attain a competence of gathering over 99 percent of the extremely fine particulates released by several industries like fertilizer, chemical, carbon black, power generation, cement, steel and aluminum.

IFF has produced the India's first home-made non-woven felt, keeping the entire expansion policy into consideration and the rising demands of filter products. The production unit substitutes the requirement to import technical non-woven felts and reinforces the firm's backward integration chain by manufacturing outstanding products in India.
