TenCate Geosynthetics North America is recognized with the 2010 International Achievement Award (IAA) presented by the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) for design excellence in specialty fabrics applications. TenCate received an Award of Excellence in the category Geosynthetic Products for its Incheon Bridge project in South Korea utilizing TenCate Geotube technology.
This is the sixth year in a row that TenCate Geosynthetics has won an IAA award. John Henderson, Senior Vice-President at TenCate Geosynthetics NA says:.'This year's winning entry, submitted by our Asian colleague Yee Tack Weng, highlights the unique position of TenCate to provide solutions for critical projects around the globe.'
This year marks the 63rd annual IAA competition. Entrants were encouraged to submit projects and compete in 29 categories. In all, IFAI received 383 entries from 13 countries. Entries were judged by industry experts, editors, architects, educators and design professionals who were selected for their knowledge in a particular field of study or product area. Winners were selected based on complexity, design, workmanship, uniqueness and function.
TenCate Geosynthetics develops and produces synthetics fabrics, nonwovens, wovens and geogrids, and creates design solutions and systems for infrastructure and civil engineering. TenCate Geosynthetics has plants in Europe, North America and Asia.
