Hama Cotton Yarn Company (HCYC) has implemented all the deals that it had signed towards the beginning of 2010 with regard to the export of 4000 tons of its textile commodities which are valued at US $10 million.

The company has two production lines and annually produces 8,500 tons of textile products. Around half of the manufactured textile products are exported whereas another half is retained within the country and is consumed by the local companies.

There is a requirement for modifying the incentive system of the company in order to promote its production as well as exports, particularly in a situation when the export of the textile products outshines the already estimated figure. Besides, there is also a necessity to enhance the quality of the textile products manufactured by the company.

As per the global standards, the cotton yarns manufactured by the company belong to the top category. The company, since its inception about 36 years earlier, has been popular for its premium products. It has been exporting cotton yarns to a number of Arab as well as overseas nations.
