Cristal Global announces that, effective as of today's date, it is lifting its declaration of Force Majeure with respect to all TiO2 products for coatings applications manufactured at its Ashtabula facility in Ohio, USA.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of our business partners as we manage through this production disruption caused by events outside our reasonable control.
“We are pleased to be able to lift the Force Majeure declaration, however demand in the marketplace for TiO2 remains strong and supply is limited. This means that even with the lifting of the declaration we anticipate continued tight sales control for the foreseeable future,” said Mark Stoll, Vice President – Commercial, Cristal Global.
Cristal Global is the world's second-largest producer of titanium dioxide and a leading producer of titanium chemicals. Cristal Global operates eight manufacturing plants in six countries on five continents and employs nearly 4,000 people worldwide.
