According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, China's domestic production of fabrics reached 6.265 billion meters in October, presenting a growth of 1.97 percent from the previous month. Product mix changed significantly, mainly under influence of cotton prices.
Of which, production of yarn-dyed fabrics registered 232 million meters, a decline of 0.46 percent from the previous month; cotton fabrics marked 3.702 billion meters, down 0.48 percent September, that of cotton blended fabrics fetched 953 million meters, up 3.18 percent and that chemical fiber fabrics reached 1.609 billion meters, a growth of 7.30 percent.
From January to October, total production of fabrics completed 53.835 billion meters, an increase of 18.22 percent year on year.
Of which, cumulative production of yarn-dyed fabrics was 2.229 billion meters, up 22.98 percent year on year; that of cotton fabrics stood at 31.633 billion meters, an increase of 22.03 percent; cotton-blended recorded 8.356 billion meters, an growth of 14.92 percent and output of chemical fiber fabric touched 13.846 billion meters, an increase of 12.15 percent, year on year.
