Added value of textile sector hikes up

The latest data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, reveals that in October, added value of national scale industries increased by 13.1 percent year on year, down more than 3 percent from a year earlier, and also 0.2 percent lower than the previous month.

From January to October, added value of big and major industries gained by 16.1 percent over the same period of last year, 6.7 percentage points higher year on year, but 0.2 percentage points lower than the first three quarters.

In October of this year, added value of textile sector grew by 11.5 percent year on year, down 0.6 percent from the previous month; export delivery value increased by 16.2 percent year on year, 0.9 percent higher than the previous month.

Among main products, production of yarn, cloth, clothing increased by 10.5 percent, 23.3 percent and 17.7 percent, respectively while, chemical fiber output increased by 13.9 percent, year on year.

From January to October, added value of textile sector grew by 12.4 percent year on year, 3.6 percent higher than the same period last year; export delivery value gained 16.4 percent over the same period last year.

In the first ten months of 2010, production of yarn, cloth, clothing increased by 15.5 percent, 18.2 percent and 18.7 percent, respectively, and that of chemical fiber increased by 14.1 percent, year on year.
