PX & PTA trends dip, ethylene firm

In S E Asian PX market, a minor price fall was noticed and prices were assessed in the range of US $1295-1300 / ton after having fallen by $5 / ton. Prices dropped down in Korean market, by the same value as well and were offered in range of $1265-1270 / ton. In European countries, PX prices remained at a standstill and hovered at $1195 / ton.

PTA prices plummeted further in following the upstream market. In Asian market, PTA prices faced decline of $10 / ton and lingered in the range of $1135-1140 / ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA offers remained firm in the range of RMB 9250-9400 / ton.

Firmness prevailed in ethylene market. Ethylene prices in S E Asian and F E Asian market stood at $1055-1065 / ton, respectively. No change was recorded in European ethylene market. In European market, ethylene price was assessed around $1100 / ton and in domestic market; price stood around €930 / ton.

Asian MEG market offer prices followed the firm trend of upstream. In S E Asian countries, MEG prices loitered around $985-990 / ton. In Chinese international and domestic market, MEG offers stood at $985 / ton and RMB 7850 / ton, respectively.

Offers for BGPET Chip in S E Asian market declined to in the range of $1500-1520 / ton. In export market, counteroffers were still around $1490 / ton. In Chinese domestic market, offers further declined to RMB 11700 / ton.

FGPET Chip was available in the range of $1600-1615 / ton, in S E Asian market.
