In the Asian markets, benzene rose US $11 over the previous trading day to close at $927-930 / ton (FOB Korea). In the Chinese domestic market, benzene trends were stable.
Market price in East China ranged between 6950-7000 Yuan / ton, in South China it touched 7000-7100 Yuan / ton and mainstream price in North China marked 6800-7000 Yuan / ton.
The Chinese benzene market was stable, due to the impact of sharply higher price of international crude oil and overseas offers, but downstream demand was lower, market activities were limited.
Market participants expect that short-term domestic benzene market will likely continue its consolidation trend.
