PX & ethylene stable, PTA & MEG up

Paraxylene market was stable in the range of US $1285-1290 / ton. Prices in Korean market were also steady and offered around $1280-1285 / ton. Due to moderate market fundamentals, PX price remained more or less stable.

PTA price increased in Asian market, due to firm downstream demand. PTA price stood in the range of $1175-1180 / ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA offers remained firm in the range of RMB 9650-9750 / ton.

Ethylene price was stable in S E Asian and F E Asian market at $1077 / ton and $1082 / ton, respectively. No change was recorded in European ethylene market as well and was quoted around $1110-1115 / ton and in European domestic market, price stood around €945 / ton.

MEG market moved upwards due to moderate demand in market. MEG offers in S E Asian market were quoted in the range of $1030-1035 / ton. In Chinese international market, MEG offers were assessed in the range $1025-1030 / ton and in domestic market, it was around RMB 8450 / ton.

Offers for BGPET Chip in S E Asian market were stable and price stood mainly in the range of $1515-1525 / ton. In export market, counteroffers were still quoted in the range of $1490-1500 / ton. In Chinese domestic market, offers were further discussed around RMB 11500 / ton.

FGPET Chip was available around $1600 / ton, whereas offers were around $1615 / ton in S E Asian market.
