Sinopec's ethylene output to enhance further

China's petrochemical manufacturing company – Sinopec envisaged that the yearly manufacturing capacity of ethylene is going to surpass nine million tons by the close of the 11th Five-Year Plan period.
The group manufactured 6.71 million tons of ethylene in 2009, registering a rise of 5.56 percent from the previous year's production figure.
The ethylene manufacturing plants in Maoming, Fujian, Tianjin of Guangdong province and Zhenhai of Zhejiang province have an overall production capacity of 800,000 tons to one million tons. These plants had started their operations during the 11th Five-Year Plan period. This has raised the yearly manufacturing capacity of ethylene to 630,000 tons from 460,000 tons.
