PX & PTA decline further, MEG stable

Paraxylene prices decelerated in all the regions. S E Asian region witnessed a fall of US$ 10/ton and hovered in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1370/ton. Korean market also noticed a similar amount of decline and was marked at US$ 1360/ton.

PTA market in Asia too noticed a decline. Prices fell by US$ 5/ton and were assessed in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1175/ton. Price of PTA in F E Asian region too tumbled down by US$ 5/ton and was quoted at US$ 1175/ton.

Ethylene prices remained stable throughout the globe. In S E Asian market, prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1080/ton to US$ 1085/ton. F E Asian price stood at US$ 1145/ton. European international and domestic market ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1155/ton and € 985/ton, respectively.

MEG prices remained unchanged in the global markets. In S E Asian region, MEG prices hovered in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In Chinese markets, price of MEG persisted at US$ 1030/ton.

BGPET Chips prices remained stable in S E Asian region and hovered in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1500/ton. Price in Chinese domestic market moved in the range of RMB 11300/ton to RMB 11500/ton.

FGPET Chips prices in Chinese markets were observed in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1460/ton. Price in Indian market was assessed at the level of US$ 1480/ton.
