CIRCOT has a technology for preparation of particle board from cotton stalks. Particle boards prepared by adopting CIRCOT technology are found to be cheaper than those made from wood and process is ideally suited for rural industries. CIRCOT also has a one ton capacity pilot plant for the production of particle board from cotton stalk. Based on CIRCOT technology Taksai Magasvargiy Audyogik Sahakari Santha, Washim, Maharastra is setting up a 10 TPD capacity plant for manufacture of particle board from cotton stalks based on CIRCOT technology.
CIRCOT will help in logistic supply chain and pre-processing of cotton stalk to guarantee end user supply of optimal quality of raw material throughout the year apart from transferring the technology. ZTM-BPD unit of CIRCOT Mumbai is promoting various technologies developed by West Zone ICAR Institutes in the crops of groundnut, grapes, onion, garlic, citrus, soybean etc.
