Transactions on electronic matching trade fall on Dec 24

On December 24, transactions through electronic matching trade market on China National Cotton Exchange (CNCE) reached 17,140 tons. Nearby ICE contracts under selling pressure, again fell to the limit on December 23.

Match contracts were mixed at opening time on the day, but moved higher for most of the time of the session, only individual contract fell towards closing time, the average price of all contracts closed higher, with larger increase of nearby month contracts.

Main contract MA1105 closed at 27,610 Yuan, up 145 Yuan and nearby month contract MA1101 closed at 27,700 Yuan, up 413 Yuan. MA1103 set the lowest price at 27,310 Yuan, while MA1106 hit the highest price at 27,780 Yuan.

Contract MA1101 rose 365 Yuan to 27,652 Yuan / ton, to increase the highest amongst all contracts, while other contracts rose around 100 Yuan / ton.

On December 24, cotton price index in China fell 2 Yuan to 27,440 Yuan; On December 24, the central parity of RMB exchange rate against one US dollar on interbank foreign exchange market stood at 6.6371 Yuan.
