Promotion of New Zealand wool carpets at Surfaces

Jan '11
Luxury at its best will be on display at the Surfaces 2011 trade show on January 25-27 in the United States where 23 Wools of New Zealand Brand partners will fill the convention floor with eco-fabulous fashions.

Together, these companies will occupy 2448 square-metres (about four rugby fields) of convention space brimming with diverse designs that take advantage of wool's natural beauty and promote the excellence of the Wools of New Zealand brand.

Wool Partners International Chief Executive Iain Abercrombie says that over the past year Wools of New Zealand has focused on retail growth, education, promotional programs and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-compliant initiatives that build on the value of the Wools of New Zealand brand. Included in these efforts are the Wool College, Wool Benefit System, Premier Partner Program and Wool: Clean Air Certification, each of which will be fully promoted at Surfaces.

Wool Partners International Chief Executive Iain Abercrombie says “The intensive work undertaken during the last 12 months to position New Zealand wool as a luxurious natural fibre, and provide the technical and marketing support to sustain those qualities, is being exhibited at Surfaces, which is the largest carpet market in the world.”

“The benefits for growers from these programmes will be increased demand for Laneve and Wools of New Zealand branded wools and recognition of the true value of premium quality New Zealand wool.”

Wools of New Zealand's booth at Surfaces will display broadloom carpets and rugs from spinner partners that are participating in an exclusive program offered to Wools of New Zealand's Premier Partner showrooms. Retailers qualifying for Wools of New Zealand's Premier Partnership will have access to exclusive styles from leading carpet ranges, such as; OW Sphinx, the Rodeo Collection by Stark, J. Mish, Hagaman, and Creative Accents.

The carpet featured on the Wools of New Zealand booth floor will be from Hagaman Carpet Industries and is another exclusive product which will be available to Premier Partners.

Surrounding the Wools of New Zealand booth are 23 spinner partners that make up the rest of the Wools of New Zealand brand area. Each spinner is taking advantage of the beautiful, natural benefits of New Zealand wool to introduce exciting carpets and rugs.

Wools of New Zealand will announce its 2011 programs, including its spring promotion, “Live Well with Wool” at a Premier Partner breakfast being held at Mandalay Bay on 26 January. Over 125 Wools of New Zealand Premier Partners and spinner partners are expected to attend.

Spinner partners are introducing numerous products at Surfaces, which carry the Wools of New Zealand brand.
