PV Preview New York & Direction by Indigo – successful event

On January 11-12, 2011, Première Vision Preview New York and Direction by Indigo presented the second edition of their combined trade show at the Metropolitan Pavilion, featuring Spring Summer 2012 textiles and prints.

The show's first day attendance was strong, followed by a dip in attendance on the second day, due to the severe weather conditions. Nonetheless, the shows registered 3,455 visits.

The fashion professionals visiting the shows appreciated the impressive and innovative collections (fabrics and surface designs for all fashion markets) presented by 190 exhibitors. At Direction by Indigo, the number of exhibitors increased significantly by an additional 10 new studios. Première Vision Preview New York featured, as usual, a broad range of high- quality fabric creations offered by exhibitors from 13 countries.

The exhibitors brought with them the quality and creativity that the North American Market seeks when attending Première Vision Preview New York and Direction by Indigo. The high-profile visitors from the fashion industry and the expanding group of exhibitors are positive signs that this One-Stop Shopping concept appeals to the requirements of this dynamic and sophisticated North American Market.

Major fashion companies visited the show, such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Anna Sui, G-III, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue, etc. Diane Von Furstenberg and Nanette Lepore were also seen at Première Vision Preview New York and Direction by Indigo. The perfect partnership of these two trade shows, combined in a once-per-year marriage, is a gift for designers who can shop fabrics, trends, ideas, prints, and accessories all at the same time.

The highly informative seminars for Spring Summer 2012 were jam-packed with attendees. Savvy industry professionals presented the seminars to enthusiastic audiences who were treated to the latest insights in trends, color, fabrics, accessories, forecasting, production, sourcing, marketing, and the cutting edge in textile innovation.
