PX, PTA & MEG prices dip, ethylene up sharply

Paraxylene price moved towards south, in S E Asian region at level of US$ 1625/ton due to weak downstream demand and hovered in the range of US$ 1625/ton to US$ 1630/ton. PX price in Korean market was marked around US$ 1620/ton. In Chinese market, PX price stood in the range of US$ 1625/ton to US$ 1635/ton.

Asian PTA price declined marginally and fell to in the range of US$ 1412/ton to US$ 1417/ton. Price of PTA in F E Asian region was quoted at US$ 1417/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA price grew to between RMB 11100/ton to RMB 11150/ton. In Indian market, PTA was quoted around US$ 1420/ton.

Ethylene price inclined sharply in tandem with upstream markets. In S E Asian market, prices were in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1180/ton and in F E Asia, it was around US$ 1235/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In European international and domestic markets price was stable at US$ 1400/ton and € 1105/ton, respectively. In U.S.A market, price was around 44.50 cents/pound.

MEG price declined marginally in the global markets due to lack of demand. In S E Asian region, MEG prices hovered in the range of US$ 1195/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In Chinese markets, price of MEG was around US$ 1195/ton and in Chinese domestic market, it was marked in the range of RMB 9500/ton to RMB 9600/ton.

BGPET Chips hovered in the range of US$ 1735/ton to US$ 1745/ton. Price in Chinese domestic market moved in the range of RMB 13000/ton to RMB 13150/ton. In Chinese markets offers from traders was between US$ 1745/ton to US$ 1755/ton.

FGPET Chips prices in Chinese markets were in the range of US$ 1725/ton to US$ 1745/ton and in Indian markets, were assessed around US$ 1720/ton to US$ 1735/ton.
