SABIC shuts down cracker due to technical malfunction

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) has shut down a naphtha cracker at Geleen in the Netherlands.

The company has stated that naphtha cracker no - 4 has been taken off stream due to a technical malfunction in the cracker.

SABIC operates two crackers at its site in Geleen with a total ethylene production capacity of 1.27 million metric tons.
