Ulster Carpets, a Portadown-based firm has acquired a new £1.5m business contract in Saudi Arabia.
The present contract that the firm secured came trailing after the contract for the custom built carpets specially designed for Jeddah's King Abdullah Convention Centre, and other contracts of leading hotels like that of the Al Khobar based Le Meridien, Riyadh based Marriott and the Sheraton in nearby Damman.
Half of the firm's business comes from its overseas clientele which includes major hotel chains and cruise operators.
Further that, the firm's business in Saudi Arabia and other countries to a larger extent is attributable to its sizeable investments in all the key business domains, with a special focus on the high value-added sections of the key domestic markets.
The firm's association with the interior design consultancies that it uses for creation of the commissioned carpets for the corporate and hospitality industry, also greatly boosts the firm's business.
Further that, apart from its accomplishment in the Saudi Arabia, the firm in the last some years, has also inked sizeable contracts in other Gulf countries like Qatar and United Arab Emirates.
