On March 22, domestic PTA markets in China witnessed another dull trading session with not much change in prices. In most of the markets, trading atmosphere appeared dull with very few negotiations.

In East China, due to cautious approach by downstream factories, offers from holders were around 11600-11650 Yuan / ton. Though some counter offers were around 11500-11550 Yuan / ton, actual negotiated price was around 11,600 Yuan / ton.

PTA market in North China too witnessed another dull trading session because of wait and watch approach by traders. As the holders were reluctant to sell at low prices, the market witnessed lower trade volume with few deals taking place.

Market offers were around 11600-11650 Yuan / ton and counter offers from downstream sector were around 11500-11550 Yuan / ton, negotiated price was around 11550-11600 Yuan / ton.

Spot market of PTA imports declined with offers for Taiwan cargo registering US $1525-1530/ ton. In this segment, downstream inquires recorded price of US $1510/ ton, actual negotiated price was around US $1520-1525/ ton.

Offers for South Korean stocks were around US $1510-1515/ ton while downstream bids were around US $1,505/ ton and actual negotiated price was around US $1,510 / ton, with very few deals as well as actual negotiations.
