Recently the Handicraft Association of Pakistan announced its constitution in presence of several women entrepreneurs, government officials and officials of trade bodies.
This formation of the handicrafts association was welcomed by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) standing committees on SMEs and Women Development.
Shireen Arshad Khan MNA was voted in as founder Chairperson of the association during the meeting. The association aspires to work for rural female artisans.
Further while addressing the meeting, Chief Executive of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Mr Puri said that, TDAP was extending assistance to the women entrepreneurs at local as well as international levels. It provides the means to unveil the entrepreneurial talents of females, he added.
He even recommended that, the businesswomen from Pakistan should partake in the just for women WEXNET international expo in Dubai, so as to draw more foreign consumers and clients.
