Rhodia's Global Business Unit (GBU), Polyamide & Intermediates, a world-class leader in the polyamide PA66 market, is strengthening its position as major producer of polymers in Europe.

“The capacity extension of our industrial unit of Freiburgenhances our capability to be a reliable partner for our customers inEurope, especially in the textile industry. It is an important step in our strategy to continue strengthening our competitiveness and market position in our home market” says Martin Laudenbach, Polyamide & Intermediates GBU President.

“This capacity expansion is part of our continuous efforts to develop our industrial footprint. It delivers a 50% increase in available capacity to seize new market opportunities and reinforce our customers' success” concludes Christophe Bertrand, Polyamide & Intermediates Industrial Director.

Rhodia Polyamide & Intermediatesis a major global producer of polyamide 6.6 intermediates and polymers focused on being a reliable partner to customers worldwide. P&Idevelops and provides the PA 66 intermediates from HMDA, Adipic acid, Nylon Salt down to polymers through its 7 industrial plants, 2 research & development centres and 7 sales offices in the world. Thanks to its fully integrated value chain, P&I is a major player on engineering plastics, textile, industrial yarns and performance fibres markets with its branded polymer range Stabamid.
