Swisher Hygiene buys Q Linen

Swisher Hygiene Inc, a leading provider of essential hygiene and sanitation products and services, today announced that it has acquired Q Linen Service, Inc, a South Florida-based linen services company.

Q Linen serves the Miami market and provides facilities services such as the delivery of linen, bar towels and aprons to the foodservice and hospitality industries. With the acquisition, Giuseppe Calderone, one of the owners of Q Linen, will be joining Swisher Hygiene.

"We continue to expand our presence in the linen market, and we are pleased to further bolster our full service coverage in South Florida," said Steven R. Berrard, Chief Executive Officer of Swisher Hygiene. "We are happy to add Giuseppe's knowledge and experience to the Swisher Hygiene team as we continue our rapid growth in the hygiene and cleaning industry."

Total consideration paid by Swisher Hygiene in connection with the acquisition includes $150,000 in cash, the assumption of certain liabilities and the issuance of up to 37,479 shares of common stock of Swisher Hygiene, subject to certain restrictions and conditions, including acceptance by the Toronto Stock Exchange.

In addition, Swisher Hygiene announced that it has completed the acquisition of Lawson Sanitation, LLC, a Miami-based solid waste services provider, in accordance with the terms set forth in a press release issued by Swisher Hygiene on March 30, 2011.
