PTA trends dip, ethylene up steeply

Paraxylene market remained stable at US$ 1610/ton and price continued to move up in tandem with energy market. In S E Asian region, price quoted in between US$ 1605/ton and US$ 1610/ton. In the F E Asian market, price hovered in the range of US$ 1605/ton to US$ 1610/ton. In Chinese market it was around US$ 1605/ton.
Asian PTA price declined and it was assessed in the range of US$ 1415/ton to US$ 1425/ton. In F E Asian region, PTA was quoted at US$ 1420/ton. In Indian market, PTA stood around US$ 1420/ton. In Chinese market, price of PTA declined in the range of RMB 10950/ton to RMB 11050/ton.
Ethylene price went up steeply, in S E Asian market and was marked around US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1400/ton. F E Asian market price was in the range of US$ 1395/ton to US$ 1400/ton. In European international and domestic market, price was stable at US$ 1565/ton and € 1140/ton, respectively. In USA market, ethylene was quoted around 59.00 cents/pound to 59.55 cents/pound.
MEG price remained unchanged in the global markets. In S E Asian region, MEG prices hovered in the range of US$ 1130/ton to US$ 1135/ton. In Indian markets, price of MEG inclined to around US$ 1130/ton to US$ 1135/ton and in Chinese market, MEG price stood in the range of RMB 8750/ton to RMB 8800/ton.
BGPET Chips price remained weak in S E Asian region and was assessed around US$ 1875/ton to US$ 1885/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1880/ton for exportable goods. In Chinese market BG PET Chip was at RMB 13600/ton.
FGPET Chips prices in Korean markets turned soft in the range of US$ 1760/ton to US$ 1775/ton and in Indian market; it was assessed in the range of US$ 1755/ton to US$ 1760/ton. In Chinese market FG PET Chip was at RMB 13150/ton.
