Japanese man-made fibre output has risen by 8.7 percent in March 2011, despite the impact of the disastrous earthquake and the tsunami which followed later.
Manmade fibre production increased to 88,603 tons, up 8.7 percent, when corresponded with the same month in 2010. Of this, synthetic fibre output rose 10 percent to 73,898 tons.
Nylon filament output grew by 10 percent to 7,890 tons, acrylic staple fiber by 15 percent to 14,047 tons, polyester filament by 3.3 percent to 15,782 tons and polyester staple fiber rose by 0.3% to 13,254 tons.
