Thomas Dressendörfer to leave Uster Technologies

Uster Technologies Ltd, the leading high technology instrument manufacturer of products for quality measurement and certification for the textile industry, announced that Thomas Dressendörfer, Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Committee, has decided to pursue a new professional challenge. He will leave the Company as of the end of the third quarter 2011 to join Straumann Group, a global leader in implant and restorative dentistry and oral tissue regeneration.
CEO Geoffrey Scott commented: “Thomas Dressendörfer played a vital role in helping to navigate the Company successfully through the down-turn in the textile industry and the financial crisis in the fourth quarter 2008 and in 2009. Following this period, he has made significant contributions in bringing the Uster Group back on the growth track and restoring our investors' confidence in the business prospects of Uster Technologies Ltd. I have enjoyed working with Thomas as a partner and colleague and wish him every success in his new role with the Straumann Group. The Board of Directors and the management team thank Thomas Dressendörfer for his invaluable service and firm dedication to the Uster Group in the past three years.”
Uster Technologies Ltd is initiating a selection process to appoint a successor to Thomas Dressendörfer and is confident that it will be able to announce the appointment in the near future.
The Uster Group is the leading high technology instrument manufacturer of products for quality measurement and certification for the textile industry. The Group provides testing and monitoring instruments, systems and services that allow optimization of quality through each individual stage of textile production; from the raw textile fiber, such as cotton, wool or synthetic filament yarns, to the final finished fabric.
