Pitusa Bolaño, CEO – BGlobal, Spain is of the opinion that Peru has a very good opportunity to ship textile and clothing to Spain and emphasized that, Peruvian producers should try to penetrate in the Spanish markets.
Bolaño was speaking at the VII Textile Forum organized by the Peruvian Exporters' Association (ADEX) and Peru's Export and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru).
Despite the fact that, Spanish producers were shifting production bases to China, Peruvian products could stand a chance in Spain, as Peru's cotton is very good, said Bolaño to Andina News Agency.
He added by saying that, Spanish consumers had a fascination for textile products made from long staple cotton as it is soft, which threw up an opportunity for Peruvian textile and clothing producers.
