Turkey's Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, said that, the government intends to attract more textile firms to the provinces in the south-eastern region, particularly in Batman, Siirt and Diyarbakir.
While considering the government's inventive scheme, he said that, they would come up with more unique models specific to the region, and would extend support to all the investors willing to invest in the region.
He also revealed that, the government proposes to set up a “Textile Park”, and means to extend all possible support for the same including development of infrastructure. The campus would house 18 diverse facilities, and would be spread on a plot measuring 24.7 acres.
The Minister also stated that, with an intention to draw attention of textile firms to the south-eastern region, he would also pay a visit to Merter district in Istanbul, which is recognized as a textile hub.
