Polyester filament market in lukewarm state

On Monday, PTA spot price declined, MEG price was under moderate suppression, semi-dull polyester chips, super bright polyester chips and CDP chip price were unchanged from the previous trading day and PET bottle chip price was stable.

Prices of acrylic staple fiber 1.5D × 38mm, acrylic top 3D × 102mm were under adjustment, CPL price fell, nylon 6 chip price corrected.

Polyester filament market was in lukewarm state, trading volume was moderate, but offers in the market slightly increased or declined, overall market remained stable.

For example, semi-dull FDY 50D/24F was quoted at 15,200-15,300 Yuan / ton, POY 150D/144F was offered at 14,000 Yuan / ton. Although offers were essentially unchanged, actual trading price was more flexible when making small-volume shipments.

At present, procurement capacity of both, weaving factories and texturizing enterprises is weak, as they are basically adopting a cautious posture of making purchases in line with production.

All cotton yarn prices continued to show a steady fall. Trading volume was still concentrated in 32s.

Rayon yarn 30s market was more popular, while individual species witnessed price drop amid steadiness. Viscose yarn 40s/2 enlarged its trade volume, but prices declined.

Polyester/cotton yarn market maintained its trade size, prices slightly fell. Polyester yarn market showed weak stability. Viscose staple fiber market weakened. Yarn market is expected to maintain an adjustment state.
