Bemz, the Swedish company that gained a reputation for tailor-made covers for IKEA sofas, chairs and cushions, announced the addition of a series of bed skirts and bed frame and headboard covers to be launched at the end of June. Covers for the bed frames and headboards are made to fit IKEA models and the bed skirts fit most standard beds regardless of manufacturer.
Bemz' fantastic range of fabrics now has more than 180 different colours and patterns, including designs from Swedish Design House Bantie, Swedish designer Lisa Bengtsson and British Designers Guild. You can mix and match the bedroom products freely with all the existing Bemz range of fabrics and slipcovers for sofas and armchairs to create a completely individual look.
"We have been working for a long time on our concept of 'individual' design," said Lesley Pennington, Founder and CEO of Bemz. "We began in the living room, continued into the dining room, and it now feels wonderful to be able to invite our customers into the bedroom where they can express their personal style with Bemz textile products."
Bemz will offer four versions of bed skirts: straight skirt, pleats, classic box pleats and ruffled frills. All bed skirts will be available in two different lengths and will fit standard Twin, Queen, Full and King sized beds. Bemz' new bed frame covers fit Floro, Vanvik and Grimen beds from IKEA, and the headboard covers are made to fit IKEA model Badalen.
Canadian Ex-pat Lesley Pennington founded Bemz in 2004. The following year, designer covers for IKEA sofas and armchairs were being produced for customers world-wide via the Internet.
