Asian benzene prices up

In the Asian market, benzene price increased US $8 from the previous day to close at US $1132-1135/ ton (FOB Korea).
Chinese domestic pure benzene market rose slightly on Wednesday, but trading atmosphere was quiet.
Benzene market price in eastern China ranged between 7,850-7,850 Yuan / ton, price in South China stood at 7,900-8,000 Yuan / ton and in North China it was around 7,900 Yuan / ton.
The pure benzene Chinese market moved higher amid steadiness, due to the impact of soaring oil price and overseas offers, but downstream sector showed flat demand.
Market participants expect that short-term domestic market will mainly go through consolidation.
