Chinese textile and clothing exports rise steeply in April

China's overall textile and apparel exports and imports once again posted excellent growth rates in the month of April.
Overseas trade, once again broke the US $20 billion to reach US $21.81 billion in April, according to customs statistics,
Of which, exports from the sector touched US $19.87 billion, up 36.6 percent year on year, and 19.9 percent from the previous month.
Imports on the other hand fetched $1.93 billion, up 14.2 percent year on year, but down 8.1 percent compared with the previous month.
From January to April, China's total textile and apparel exports achieved US $68.5 billion, up 27.4 percent year on year and imports marked US $7.08 billion, up by 22.4 percent year on year.
