Katmandu Partners uses a “Green” technology called Kinetic Colorization a very advanced form of dye sublimation to colorize fabrics. This process offers it's customers the ability to have exceptional color, without negatively impacting the environment.

It's not commonly known, but the traditional fabric colorization process uses millions of gallons of water and myriad chemicals, including plastisol inks, acids, salts and other toxins which are released into to our eco system. Whereas Katmandu's colorized fabrics meet the highest environmentally friendly standards while being used for apparel, home décor, POP signage, and many military applications.

Katmandu believes it is their responsibility to give back and create awareness. In Katmandu's own small way would like to help bring jobs back to the United States. Katmandu Partners and Critical Mass do short runs, custom runs and long runs of custom color in California not China, India, Pakistan and that means jobs to the United States and our unique process is done through environmentally friendly technology.

Katmandu offers its customers the highest quality customer service and innovative new coloring possibilities. Through Kinetic Colorization Katmandu has developed a unique ability to colorize textiles with different colors or patterns on alternate sides of one piece of fabric, offering our customers a whole new range of product possibilities. With capabilities to produce long run, short run and even true demand manufacturing projects. Katmandu has the ability to transfer up to 8 meters a minute of fabric or 480 meters of fabric per hour and in 24 hours over 9,000 meters of fabric single or double sided.

Katmandu's technology used to color and print sophisticated performance fabrics and high fashion fabrics uses an exclusive molecular tunneling dye placement process call Kinetic Colorization. This process uses none of the water or toxic chemicals normally consumed in conventional textile coloring. The process leaves no toxic chemical residue to wash out and preserves the performance features of the garment. Since the color is permanently trapped below the fabric surface the garment can be washed in bleach or with other colors at no risk.

The manufacturing process used to create the unique two-sided fabric uses special equipment designed to allow pass through color as well as double sided color(solid to solid, print to solid and print to print).

Katmandu's digital inventory agility is exclusive to the Demand Manufacturing (DM) capability of this supplier. We can deal in lay downs, roll to roll and do both composting that are added on during the colorization process for making custom apparel for events, people, city specific and more suing one base design.

Katmandu also has the unique ability to colorize on many of the Nylons that up until now have not been able to be colorized using any form of sublimation. The sublimation process is unique and uses a special and patented process (pending) as well as both company and trade secrets.

Katmandu is a leading full service coloration and apparel company located in Southern California. We use a “Green” technology called Kinetic Colorization a very advanced form of dye sublimation to colorize fabrics. This process offers our customers the ability to have exceptional color, without negatively impacting the environment.
