Nigeria’s Kano state and the Hunan province in China recently signed a cooperation agreement to boost agriculture, construction, leather, textile and several other fields. Xu Zhengxian, director general of foreign affairs, office of the Hunan provincial government, and Kano state attorney general Ibrahim Mukhtar signed the agreement in Abuja.Kano state’s acting governor Hafiz Abubakar expressed confidence that the friendship will continue to grow, according to a Nigerian newspaper report.
He appreciated Chinese conglomerate Lee Group for its investments in Kano that had created thousands of jobs and added value to the local and national economy.
