Ramesh Genomal & Family of Page Industries which is the licensee of Jockey Underwear and Speedo in India and Sri Lanka, has gained 28 places to be ranked 91st in the Hurun India Rich List 2015.

The list is published by China's Hurun report.

Ramesh Genomal, Non Executive Director, is one of the founders of Page Industries with over three decades experience in the textile and garmenting industry. In 2001 which was the 125th anniversary of Jockey International Inc., he received an award for his dedicated work and association with Jockey International Inc. He is responsible for the company's production process innovations.

Managing Director Sunder Genomal, is a co-founder of Page Industries and has spent over three decades in various facets of the textile industry. He oversees the entire working and affairs of the company's management.

Shamir Genomal, is the Executive Director - Chief Strategy Officer of the company. He is responsible for strategy planning of entire affairs of the company, product development, outsourcing and all functions relating to the Speedo brand.

Four e-commerce entrepreneurs have made it to the Hurun India Rich List 2015 in the under-40 age group. Thirty-two-year-old Kunal Bahl of Snapdeal is the youngest of the lot at number 4 with a wealth of Rs 2314 crore. He is followed by Flipkart's Binny Bansal and Sachin Bansal, both aged 34 at 5th and 6th places with personal wealth of Rs 9010 crore each. Paytm's Vijay Shankar Sharma, 38, is 9th on the list with a wealth of Rs 2824 crore.

In dollar terms e-commerce has shown 48 per cent spike in wealth for existing names and 126 per cent spike considering the new entrants into the list. Latest fund raising activities fuelled high valuation for all ecommerce companies. Despite a soaring valuation bubble in the industry, Just Dial is an exception in the list; Venkatachalam Sthanu Subramani lost nearly 80 per cent wealth in rupee terms due to share devaluation of Just Dial.

But none of the e-commerce players figure in the top 10 of the overall India Rich List. Mukesh Ambani of Reliance tops the list as the richest man in India with a fortune of Rs 1,60,951 crore, down 3 per cent from last year. The Hurun Report has 296 individuals with Rs 1,600 crore or more, up 76 from last year and double that of two years ago.

The Bansals rank 85 in the overall India Rich List, Vijay Shankar Sharma 215th, Venkatachalam Sthanu Subramani is at 220th position, dropping 97 places while Kunal Bahl is at 243. (SH)
