In its first sustainability report, maker of high performance polyurethane foam products Recticel has highlighted that its insulation solutions help to avoid about 20 times more CO2 emissions than the carbon footprint of all Recticel activities combined. Additionally, its auto lightweight solutions contribute to reducing energy use and avoiding CO2 emissions.

The sustainability report not only highlights Recticel's sustainability strategy, but also identifies KPIs and clear targets for 2020.

“With R&D efforts focusing on climate change, conservation of natural resources, support to ageing population, we will be able to develop value-added solutions for our customers and for the society,” the company said.

“The transition towards a circular economy, in which waste no longer exists and in which materials are efficiently reused or recycled, is something we are strongly committed to for all our business lines,” CEO Olivier Chapelle said.

According to Recticel, the first sustainability report is drawn up in accordance with Global Initiative Report (GRI) Guidelines G4, Core level and it intends to publish a second sustainability report in 2018. (AR)
