SETEX launches new contactless fabric scanning solutions

SETEX, a global leader in designing, manufacturing and implementation of automation solutions for textile dyeing and finishing machines has released version 3 of the contactless fabric scanning solutions CamCOUNT and FabricINSPECTOR, the company said in a press release.

CamCOUNT V3 features reliable fabric dimensions on constant fabric weight, measuring and controlling stitch count for knitted and woven fabric. The CamCOUNT V3 fabric measurement works with modern camera and avoids friction, makes measurement plates obsolete and allows numerous positions to mount the system.

The system incorporates smart software algorithms to analyse fabric density and evaluate parameters for process control of shrinkage and overfeed. The use on tenter frames provides additional information on skew distortion.

The system reduces variations of over and underweight fabrics and eliminates punch weight measurements and also improves fabric quality with better color and pattern uniformity on printed fabrics.

The new version of FabricINSPECTOR completes the system with detailed visualization and reporting prior to production and for process tracing with tolerance bands. The unique measurement method provides precise results on machine halt or up to full speed, allows to use the same technique on the laboratory systems also. (NA)
