Shima Seiki to hold SHIMA CrossTex expo in Hong Kong

Shima Seiki (Hong Kong) Ltd., a subsidiary of a leading manufacturer in the computerised flatbed knitting machine industry, Shima Seiki Mfg., Ltd., is set to hold the second edition of its ‘SHIMA CrossTex’ private exhibition, on February 6 and 7, 2018, in Hong Kong. Shima Seiki is the pioneer in complete garment manufacturing technology, Wholegarment.
The SHIMA CrossTex exhibition once again presents connectivity as a key theme. This time, Shima Seiki’s SDSONE APEX3 3D design system will be presented as the centrepiece of the company’s “Total Fashion System” concept that revolutionises the supply chain by connecting the various stages of product planning, production, and sales with one another.
By taking advantage of APEX3’s photorealistic simulation capability, virtual sampling minimises the need for sample-making, effectively reducing time, material and cost from the sampling process. In addition virtual samples can be used in presales events to forecast demand for upcoming items, or to collect feedback from potential customers. This information can then be sent back to the planning and production stages for providing optimum inventory of items that are in combination with quickresponse Wholegarment knitting, even more accurate lastminute forecasting is possible, or in the case of stock replenishment, justintime inventory assures minimal inventory loss, and leftover stock, leading to better profit and less waste for realising production that is smart, speedy, and sustainable.
