The Chinese subsidiary of the Teijin Group, Nantong Teijin Co., Ltd. is exhibiting high performance fabrics and environmentally friendly solutions at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics being held in Shanghai.

“The Nantong Teijin booth in hall 8-1, stand B68 will present a variety of Teijin products targeted at Chinese markets,” a Teijin press release stated.

“These include products for sports and casual fashions and garments made of thin- to medium-thickness fabrics,” the company added.

The products on show include; Microft, a moisture-permeable, water-repellent fabric produced with functional, high-quality microfibre.

“The exhibit will highlight the laminated version, which combines soft texture with enhanced waterproof properties up to water pressure of 10,000 mm or greater,” Teijin explained in the press release.

Other products like a large assortment of stretch pants, a strategic category for Nantong Teijin and a highly advanced chemically-recycled polyester fibre will also be displayed.

Also on display is Solotex, a polytrimethylene terephthalate fibre that is highly soft, stretchable, shape-retaining and durable and is partially bio-derived, so helps conserve fossil resources.

The Teijin Group's main fields of operation are high-performance fibres such as aramid, carbon fibres and composites, healthcare, films, resin and plastic processing, polyester fibres, products converting and IT.

The group has some 150 companies and around 16,000 employees spread out over 20 countries worldwide and posted consolidated sales of ¥786.2 billion or $6.6 billion in fiscal ended March 31, 2015. (AR)
