 NanoHorizons Inc., a leader in the creation of nanoscale performance additives for textile, health care, and industrial applications, has announced that the company has entered into an agreement with Widetech Ltd. of Taipei, Taiwan, under which Widetech will distribute the SmartSilver antimicrobial performance brand to the Taiwan textile industry. Widetech is a recognized and trusted textile chemical importer and provider in the Taiwanese market.
SmartSilver antimicrobial additives are engineered using a patented process to integrate silver nanoparticles at the molecular level, providing permanent, safe, and cost effective protection against bacteria associated with odors, infection and material degradation in a variety of products, including natural and synthetic fibers and fabrics. SmartSilver additives are approved by Oeko-Tex as free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances believed to be hazardous to human health. The additives are also US EPA registered.
