The number of exhibitors has risen from 258 to more than 270 at this year's Yarn Expo Autumn leading to exhibition space growing over 35 per cent to over 11,500 sq. metres, marking a new record.

The exhibitors come from 12 countries and regions including China, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Korea, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, USA, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

The trade show will have four display zones, namely Natural Cotton Zone, Colourful Chemical Fibre Zone, Fancy Yarn Zone and E-Commerce Zone for corresponding domestic exhibitors.

The Natural Cotton Zone will focus on the theme of eco-friendly technology, with Bazhou Jinfu Yarn from China presenting their specialty yarns and differentiated viscose yarn in the October fair.

There is also a new Eco-friendly Fibre area within the Colourful Chemical Fibre Zone which highlights innovative fibres as well as eco-friendly low carbon fibres.

The Fancy Yarn Zone will see Shouguang Jiaxin displaying coloured spun slub yarn, coloured spun segment-colour yarn and coloured spun AB yarn.

“The growth of this fair over the past two years has really been remarkable given the global economic situation over this time,” Wendy Wen, senior general manager at Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd said.

“Part of this growth is due to advancements in the offerings such as the display zones, which provide further opportunities for both exhibitors and buyers in fast-growing product sectors,” she added. (AR)
