Zünd shows expertise in digital cutting at Simac

Zünd, a Swiss manufacturer specialising in modular high-performance cutting systems presented its latest cutting technologies and automation solutions at Simac 2016, which was held in Milan.

“With the new Zünd D3 cutter with projection system, Zünd debuted a complete digital cutting solution designed for ultimate productivity in leather processing,” a press release from Zund informed.

Romeo Weber, product manager leather at Zund said, “The number of visitors to the Zünd booth was significantly higher than last year.”

“True to its motto 'Your first choice in digital cutting', Zünd showcased innovative technologies and hands on demonstrations and a variety of true-to-life samples,” he added.

The newly developed high-performance cutter D3 with projection system, configured for whole-hide processing, had its debut at this show and turned out to be a veritable crowd magnet.

Zünd's exhibit focused on some of the hottest topics in the leather industry like high productivity in mass production, optimal leather utilisation, and greater efficiency through integrated solutions.

According to the company, visitors were particularly impressed with the productivity of Zünd cutting systems and their efficient nesting capabilities.

“The number of orders placed at the show underscores the need among international leather converters for greater process integration and overall increases in performance and productivity,” it informed. (AR)
