Viral Desai, Gujarat’s textile ecopreneur and CEO of the Surat based Zenitex, has been honoured with Giants International award for his tremendous contribution towards environment protection and his social initiative ‘Clean India, Green India’ movement. Desai was among the seven personalities from Gujarat who were selected for the award.
 
India based international service organisation Giants International organised an event recently to honour and recognise contribution of people who have worked for the society in various areas, from social work to environmental protection.
 
All dignitaries present at the event appreciated and applauded the noble movement taken up by Desai and wished to join the efforts of his NGO Hearts@Work Foundation. 
 
“We started the tree plantation campaign an year ago with the inspirational story of Nana Chudasma, and it is indeed an overwhelming moment of my life to receive the top recognition from Giants International, founded and led by him,” said an elated Desai.
 
Working tirelessly towards his Clean India Green India Campaign, Desai with his team at Hearts@Work Foundation have so far planted more than 12,500 trees and plants at places like VR Popawala Children’s Home, vertical gardens at Zenitex factory, SS Ghandhy Engineering College, and various areas and villages of Maroli and Olpad regions.
