9M net sales at Konica Minolta drop 8.2%

For the nine months ended December 31, 2016, net sales at Konica Minolta dropped 8.2 per cent to ¥699,636 million as against ¥762,326 million in the same period of the previous year. In the reporting nine month period, operating profit declined to ¥34,454 million, down 17.2 per cent compared to ¥41,588 million in the corresponding period of 2015.
Profit before tax at the Japanese digital printer manufacturer also declined 15.8 per cent to ¥34,103 million vis-à-vis ¥40,524 million in first nine months of fiscal 2016.
Net profit in the first nine months of fiscal 2017 fell slower at 5.4 per cent to ¥25,066 million from ¥26,497 million in the fiscal ago period. (AR)
