Net sales up 4.72% at Century's textile division

Century Textiles and Industries, an India based corporate giant serving industries like textiles and others, reported a rise of 4.72 per cent in the net sales of its textile division in third quarter of fiscal 2015 – ending on December 31 – as compared to corresponding quarter of fiscal 2014, according to the financial results posted on the company's website.

The net sales reported in Q3 of fiscal 2015 was Rs 453.32 crore as compared to Rs 432.85 crore in the third quarter of FY14. The net sales in this quarter, however, reduced by 6.85 per cent as compared to Rs 486.66 crore in Q2 of fiscal 2015.

The company reported a rise of 149.85 per cent in its profit after depreciation but before finance costs and exceptional items to Rs 34.13 crore in the third quarter of FY15 as compared to Rs 13.66 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

The profit after depreciation but before finance costs and exceptional items for this quarter reduced by 17.77 per cent as compared to Rs 41.51 crore in the second quarter of FY15.

Net sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2015 at Century Textiles and Industries was Rs 1875.66 crore as compared to Rs 1793.51 crore in Q3 of fiscal 2014 and Rs 1877.35 crore in Q2 of fiscal 2015. (MCJ)
